The short version
- We collect what we need to run the Service — your account info, your operational data, and basic usage analytics.
- We don’t sell your data. Ever.
- We don’t use your operational data to train AI models without your written consent.
- You can export everything in one click and delete it on cancellation.
- U.S.-based data centers, encrypted at rest and in transit.
1. What we collect
Account info: name, email, company name, phone number.
Billing info: handled by Stripe — we store the last 4 digits and expiration only.
Operational data: loads, customers, drivers, trucks, invoices, documents you upload. This is “Customer Data” under our Terms.
Integration tokens: we store OAuth tokens for QuickBooks, Motive, Samsara, etc. under at-rest encryption.
Usage analytics: page views, feature usage, error logs — aggregated and pseudonymized where possible.
2. How we use it
To deliver the Service, support you, bill you, and improve the product. We don’t use your data for advertising and we don’t share it with advertisers.
3. Who we share with
Our subprocessors: AWS (hosting), Stripe (billing), Twilio (driver SMS), Resend (transactional email), and the integration providers you explicitly connect.
Otherwise, only as required by law — subpoenas, court orders, regulatory requests. We’ll notify you unless legally prohibited.
4. AI & machine learning
The AI features in the Service (document parsing, after-hours auto-attendant) process your data to deliver the feature. We do not use your operational data to train general-purpose models without explicit written consent.
5. Cookies & tracking
We use first-party cookies for auth and a small set of usage analytics. Details on the cookie policy.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email hi@carrierstms.com or use the in-app data export. California, Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut residents have additional rights under state privacy law — we honor them for all customers.
7. Data retention
Operational data is retained as long as your account is active. After cancellation, it’s available read-only for 90 days, then deleted within 30 days. Backups roll off within 90 days of deletion.
8. Children
The Service isn’t intended for children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from them.
9. International users
Data is processed and stored in the United States. By using the Service from outside the U.S., you consent to that transfer.
10. Changes
We’ll announce material changes via email and on this page at least 30 days in advance.
